A lot of “About Me” pages share how they wanted to be a ___ since they were young. That’s not exactly my story. I had no idea that I wanted to be a graphic designer for the longest time, until I was an adult and looked back at all the school projects I did with my kids, and calendars, chore charts, and Christmas letters I was creating for my family. I didn’t dream of this career my entire life or write about it in my elementary “career journal.”
My creative journey started with music when I was young, but the time I spent exploring all the creative outlets I could think of eventually pointed me to my dream job. I learned about being true to myself as an artist. I learned how to run a business on a small scale, and I learned that I loved using my natural gifts to bring the beauty and utility of great design into other’s lives.
I earned a degree in Graphic Design from Minnesota State Community and Technical College in 2016. Now, I’m proud to say that graphic design is my full-time work. I use my business and marketing talents to create meaningful digital art for my clients. At least once a week I tell my husband, “I love graphic design! I can’t believe I get to do this full time.” It’s a rewarding job that I’m so incredibly thankful for! And if that wasn’t awesome enough, I get to do this full time from home while I take care of my family. So much of my story has led me to where I am today, and I hope you’ll enjoy getting to know who I am beyond just graphic design. I can’t wait to meet you!
I promise not to sing…probably.
